Richard Reyes Faulkerson, Jr. is of American descent through his grandfather on the father side. Before he became well-known in Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye segment as Maine Mendoza’s other half in the AlDub love team, the young actor first auditioned in television reality shows Starstruck of GMA Network and 2010 Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash of ABS-CBN but did not make it.In 2015, he won best actor for his role as Rose Rizal in the Kapuso Network’s game-changer, Bayani (hero) series Ilustrado.
